The mission of Badr Nabi Foundation is to ease the suffering of the poor. The poor are plagued with a lot of issues and struggle daily with hunger, disease and homelessness.

We chose to address hunger as we see it on our streets and in our neighborhoods every day. We began by setting up feeding centers in Ramadan to provide hot meals to poor families to break their fast.

The first of more than 90 feeding centers we have been running opened its doors nine years ago. Since then we have served more than 400,000 hot meals to indigent families during Ramadan.

We set out to change people’s lives but the lives that we really changed were ours. Our hearts are filled with compassion for the people who had so little a hot meal to break their fast meant so such.

The gratitude they showed, their shy smiles, tears and simple prayers to God to reward all who had came to their aid was a very humbling experience for all of us.
